Hot on the heels of Grant Stone’s re-up of their fantastic Honey Glazed Shell Cordovan boots last week, they’ve just opened more pre-orders in their other signature shell cordovan: Maduro, a rich brown shell from Horween that possesses a great depth of color.
This time around, Grant Stone is offering some more Maduro editions of their Plain Toe Blucher as well as their Traveler Penny Loafer, plus a brand-new offering that we’re really very into: their Diesel Boot, which looks fantastic with the Maduro shell + natural edge, welt and leather heel stack.
The Diesel has been a staple of Grant Stone’s boot offerings for a while, but up till now, we’ve only seen its younger plain toe brother, the Edward, get the shell cordovan treatment. The Edward is slightly more refined in its appearance—smaller eyelets, a simple backstay, minimal stitching along the collar and the quarters. Meanwhile, the Diesel goes a bit bolder, with bigger brass hardware, an external heel counter, and a somewhat-playful backstay design.
This particular Diesel is built, as always, on Grant Stone’s highly-comfortable, highly-accommodating Leo last. Within the boot, you’ll find some soft and luxurious kip lining, as well as layer after layer of vegetable-tanned sole leather. The whole package is made complete with a beautiful 360 storm welt, leather outsoles, and half-rubber heels.
We felt it pertinent to give you all a heads-up on this one, as sources tell us this will sell out very quickly, so don’t wait—reserve your pair today. (And send us a pic when you get ’em!)
