Color 8 is perhaps the most famous—and certainly most ubiquitous—shade of Horween’s legendary shell cordovan.
Color 8 boxboard shell cordovan, the same base leather that’s plated with an appealingly natural-looking inconsistent print…well, that’s not very easy to find at all. Except in the Stitchdown Premium Discord on Thursday August 10th at 1pm ET. 
We’ve partnered with 92-year-old Canadian bootmaker Viberg to offer two Color 8 boxboard shell models—Viberg’s Rockland Blucher and Uplands chukka—in an extremely limited release. And I can assure you that’s not some sly marketing! As we’ve only got one pair each, per style (so, 8 pairs total) in sizes 8, 8.5, 9, and 9.5. The Rockland will retail for $1,260, while the Uplands boot is going for $1400.
Both models are built with a channeled-insole Goodyear welt construction on Viberg’s famed 2030 last. Soles are a semi-chonk Ridgeway, ringed by a 360-degree scalloped welt for a subtle hit of extra flavor. Tonal French binding, leather toe puffs, and a classic tan kip lining round out both makeups.
