Welcome back, intrepid Thunderdomers! You’ve made it one month in your chosen pair. Get ready for six more. No quit! Ever!!
Below is where you will upload your photos for November. To remain in the Dome, all photos for November must be submitted by November 5 at 11:59pm Eastern Time.
Every month through May 2022, photos shot in the manner detailed below are required to remain in the Thunderdome competition. Please follow the instructions closely.
If you’re a new entrant (this is the last month to enter!)…
First off: congrats. This is the best decision you’ll ever make (until next year). Second, if haven’t yet signed up to become a member of the Stitchdown Premium community—which is required to be in the Thunderdome and have a shot at over $15,000 in prizes (mostly boots!)—definitely do that now through here.
DO NOT WEAR YOUR NEW PAIR OF BOOTS OR SHOES OUTSIDE BEFORE YOU TAKE AND SUBMIT THE PHOTOS! This is very important.
Some things to remember…
No filtering or color editing of photos is allowed. You can crop, or change alignment, sure. But the judges will know if you’re trying to soup up your photos to create faux-tina. So, just don’t do it!
All photos MUST be shot in a vertical/portrait alignment. The reason for that: we’re excited to fill up the @stitchdownpatinathunderdome Instagram with all of them to tell the tale of your boots’ and shoes’ journeys for all to see (yes, the better the photo, the better the chance it ends up on there).
The seven required photo angles are are listed below
You can also feel very free to add one optional “action” shot—basically anything that’s not like the below. On-foot, hurled high into the air and captured, eating hot dogs with Ticho, whatever.
The super-secret-special-code will ensure that new entrants’ boots haven’t been worn before the code was sent out. That said, all contestants MUST write the code on a piece of paper along with your name, boot or shoe make/model/leather, and optional Instagram (again, will make it easier for us to tag you) and Discord handles.
IMPORTANT: The Identifier shot will NOT be used on social media or shared anywhere else by Stitchdown. It’s strictly for internal record keeping to ensure everything is tracked correctly. You can certainly feel free to post it in the Discord or Instagram or elsewhere if you want. But we definitely won’t. (Also feel free to write it much larger and with more adult handwriting than I did.)
Below are the shot angles you’ll need to include for November:
The Super Secret Code Shot
Straight-On, Slightly Elevated, No Code
Left Side
Back
Right Side
Overhead
Russian Nesting Boots
Action Shot (not required)
And below is the submission form. Please fill out all required fields, and we strongly encourage you to fill out the non-required ones.
You should receive a confirmation email upon your submission. If you don’t, first check your spam. If it’s not there, please contact me at thunderdome@stitchdown.com and we’ll get it sorted.
Let’s Dome,
