Clinch DITWOL Milne Boots in Black Patchwork: $2,300 (Pre-Order or In-Stock)
Well these are certainly something different—no surprise from Tokyo’s Clinch. If you have 21st century consumer intuitions, the DITWOL (“Dissolve The Wall Of Leather”) might at first glance be mistaken for a boot that’s been distressed or artificially aged. On the contrary, the white contrast stitching on Clinch’s latest anchors patches and “darning” over weak points to acts as reinforcement that allows the culled Japanese deerhide uppers to be used on a wholecut boot.
They’re being offered with a hand-welted construction on either the FR (C-to-D fit, according to Standard & Strange) or the FR-Wide (E fit) last. O’Sullivan’s half soles emphasize the substantial toe spring at play, balanced out by a narrow and gently angled heel. The Milne model uses a wholecut upper with a combination of eyelets and speedhooks, built to a 6″ shaft height.
S&S has sizes available in both the ready to ship option in the C-to-D fit FR last, and also in the E-fit FR-Wide last.
Scheduled for 2026 delivery, the preorder comes just as Clinch has announced a temporary pause on orders to catch up on production. Find that option here.
Viberg x Division Road Scout Boot in Horween Black Washed CXL: $1025
We’re not quite sure we’ve ever seen a Viberg Scout boot made on their 2040 last—but it does make sense, as neither has any true need to be sleeked out. Embrace yourselves! The Horween washed black CXL is really cool stuff: teacore (love how the edges are raw…shows you what’s coming) a nice soft hand, and a pebbled texture for a little flavor. Someone needs to enter these in the 2025-26 Patina Thunderdome…
Viberg x Division Road 310 Service Boot in Badalassi Cognac Vachetta Minerva: $1085
Division Road has long been an acolyte of Viberg’s 310 last—the toe-sprung, bumped-up, there-really-is-no-last-like-this-last…last. And here it is, back again, in decidedly not-quiet form thanks to a full-vegetable-tanned Badalassi Minvera leather that is sure to age aggressively and uniquely, and also the Dr. Sole half-sole and slight woodsman heel setup.
Division Road x Easymoc Carrabasset Camp in Bronze Unicorn: $395
A Vibram V100 outsole will take just about any slip-on shoe into new, usually positive territory. In this case the combination of a very relaxed upper (“easy” is in the name!) with one of the most aggressive outsoles is… surprisingly unobtrusive, assisted by the monochrome combo of Stead’s Waxed Elk Unicorn and a Vibram’s “honey” compound. Built with a hand-sewn moccasin construction.
Division Road x Easymoc Quarter Trek Boot in Black Oiled Suede: $395
The ‘Quarter Trek’ places a chukka outsole atop the same V100 unit lug, this time with uppers in black oiled suede. Do not fear the chonk!
Withered Fig x Viberg Bristol Loafer in Tobacco Calf Suede: $1,115
As best we can tell, this is Viberg’s first retailer collab so far on the apron-front split-toe Savoy, and while the apple doesn’t fall to far from the proverbial shoe tree, these may be our favorite Viberg loafer so far, thanks to the warm tone of the suede, natural scalloped welt, and French leather outsole.
Withered Fig x Viberg Slipper in Sepia Janus Calf Suede: $1,115
The 2010-lasted slipper is outfitted with a soft Lactae Hevea outsole but retains the same scalloped welt. They’re a striking image of the shoe your house slipper’s parents wanted them to grow up to be. CF Stead’s Janus calf suede is generally considered to be as high a grade of full-grain suede as you can get.
Viberg Savoy in Sepia Janus Calf Suede: $1,115
Withered Fig is also stocking a Viberg seasonal release, the Savoy split-toe derby in that same Sepia Janus calf suede, which on the Savoy produces an unpretentious (though no less elegant) split toe, equipped with a leather sole and the same 360˚ scalloped welt. The Savoy, like the Bristol, uses the new 1905 last. These are also available at Viberg.com.
Viberg Navvy Boot in Sepia Janus Calf Suede: $1190
More Sepia! It’s like everyone just download v1 of Instagram is having an absolute BALL with the filters. But the Navvy (say it: “NAH-vee”) pattern on Viberg’s 1940 last has been coming to the forefront and these are quite classy indeed. Available at Division Road and Viberg.com.
Nicks LL64 in Wickett & Craig Double Stuffed: $819 (Made to Order)
Nicks LL64, originally introduced as a limited run, is back and available in a whole rainbow of shades of Double Stuffed leather from venerable Pennsylvania veg-tannery Wickett & Craig, from Buck Brown to Crimson and Cobalt. The 2023 Patina Thunderdome champion boot retains the same specs as always: a 5″ shaft height on the HNW last with double row stitchdown construction. On the shaft is the vintage version of the Nicks stamp, and the only choices you have to make are color, width, and length.
Lost & Found x Alden Full Strap Loafer in Snuff Suede: $645
Lost & Found doesn’t shy away from pushing aesthetic boundaries with their footwear, so when they run something that falls squarely in the traditional category, it’s worth asking…why? Alden’s full strap is one such case—not just traditional, but downright aristocratic, despite the Massachusetts’ maker’s squarely American standing. So of course, they threw some heel foxing stitching at them. Fine work, Lost & Found.
Meermin Penny Loafer in Black Heritage Shell Cordovan: $310
After putting burgundy shell cordovan on the SWAY last penny loafer last week, Meermin is rolling out black shell on the Nova last, the most visible difference being the lower and more gradually sloping wall of the toe box. The newest update is lower vamp relative to previous versions of the Nova. In addition to the shell, the leather outsole—secured with a 270˚ flat welt—also features closed channel stitching.
Parkhurst Niagra in Navy French Calf: $448 (Pre-Order)
Parkhurst is putting the blue in boots (bloots!!) with a new makeup of the aptly named Niagra model. The leather is a French calf tanned by Annonay, and the construction is a 360˚ split welt on your choice of a commando, studded, or double leather sole.
Truman Boot Co. Service Boot in Black Bull Elk: $480 (Pre-Order)
Truman’s latest pre-order uses a new leather from Milwaukee’s Gallun Leathers: Bull Elk, a light metal tannage that is heavily wet stuffed to add density and rigidity to otherwise soft elk hides. They’re offering basically the full range of options in terms of Last (your choice of 20, 56, or 79), hardware configuration, apron stitching (or not), toe structure, welt, hardware, and outsole.
