Built on the Aberdeen last, these shell NST bluchers are given a bit of a twist with the antique edge. Bottomed with a 270 flat welt and double leather soles.
Alden x Leffot “Commander” Boot in Tobacco Chamois: $655
Made on the 379X last in resilient tobacco chamois leather, this brogued cap toe boot features a 270 storm welt and black neocork soles.
Eastman Leather Clothing USMC Raider Boot in Walnut Horsehide: ~$1140
Made with the help of John Lofgren, these burly monkey boots recreate the non-standard-issue footwear worn by an elite World War II-era US Marine Corps unit known as Carlson’s Raiders. Made with a fully-lined veg-tan Italian horsehide, the boots include a rarely-seen double-row 270 flat welt, along with some custom Eastman-branded raw cord soles.
Alden x Brick + Mortar “Sodo” Boot in Color 8 Shell Cordovan: $865
Seattle shop Brick + Mortar takes Alden’s handsewn U-Tip Boot and puts it on the Barrie last in Horween Color 8 Shell Cordovan. Comes complete with a 360 pre-stitch reverse welt and commando soles.
White’s Boots x East West Apparel Smokejumper in Brown Dress: ~$900
Lots of new goodies to be had at East West Apparel! First off, another rare chance to purchase ready-to-wear White’s Boots in the UK. Crafted on the 55 last, these 7-inch-tall lace-to-toe Smokejumpers are made in brown dress leather with a handsewn stitchdown construction on some Vibram 700 soles.
Joe Works Apron Front Derby Boots in Brown Hatch Grain: ~$870
EWA has some new stock from Japanese atelier Joe Works, including these beautiful derby boots in Horween brown hatch grain cowhide. Made on the Joe Works #6 last, these boots are fully lined, and feature a 270 flat welt and Vibram commando half-soles.
Joe Works Jodphur in Brown Museum Calf: ~$1074
Utilizing calfskin from Italian tannery Zonta, these jodhpurs are built on the #1 last with a 270 flat welt and Vibram topy soles over oak bark-tanned leather midsoles.
Zerrows Engineer Boots in Brown Horsebutt: ~$1261
EWA has also received some magnificent Zerrows engineers made in brown horsebutt from Maryam. Coming in at a 12-inch height, they’re made with a 270 flat welt and a Vibram 269 half-sole in tandem with a Cat’s Paw heel.
Rolling Dub Trio Loro Boots in Black Horsebutt: ~$978
Finally, a few sizes remain of these Western-style Rolling Dub Trio boots at EWA. Constructed in black horsebutt on a modified Munson last, they’re made with a 270 flat welt, topy half-soles, and Quabaug heels.

A great daily-driver candidate right here (as evident from the well-worn example above). Made on the Copley last, this loafer features a 270 flat welt and single leather sole.
