Division Road x Viberg Service Boot 2055 in Nutmeg Waxed Kudu: $935
This week Division Road’s long running collaboration with Viberg comes to us on a last you don’t see every day: the 2055. A slimmed down fitting based on the geometry of the famed Munson, the 2055 is probably the Viberg last that most purely distills the brand’s military inspiration. Here it’s combined with nutmeg waxed kudu from C.F. Stead, a matte casual leather with plenty of kudu’s characteristic scarring and texture, plus a plain cap toe that emphasizes the whole military-inspired look. Underfoot is the ever trusty combination of double row stitchdown and Ridgeway outsoles.
Division Road x Viberg Wholecut Boot in Stone Waxed Kudu: $985
The other half of this week’s collab is something all Viberg’s own: a 2030 wholecut boot. Most visually distinctive is that upper, with its conspicuously absent paneling (there’s still a backstay). The details are clean and straightforward—eight relatively light eyelets with a 360˚ scalloped welt and a Ridgeway outsole. Between the mid-height shaft and the boot last these have some interesting aesthetic parallels to the wholecut hikers that have been creeping into the zeitgeist for the last few years.
Carl Murawski x Nicks TankerPro 2.0 in Ember Waxed Flesh: $679 (Made to Order)
When worlds-largest-YouTube-star and esteemed Shoecast guest Carl Murawski releases a collab, we pay attention—and this is a good one. After a few years of wearing and working in the Nicks TankerPro, he’s worked with Nicks to design a new pattern that circumvents some issues he experienced with the original design, including quarters which sometimes sat open at the bottom and straps which looked narrow in relation to the shaft and tongue.
The most evident changes on the 2.0 are the increased width of the straps and the lower placement of the bottom buckle (which solves the open quarter problem). Those larger changes are accompanied by a number of smaller tweaks, including lighter weight buckles and modifications to almost ever panel. The collab boot ships with a V-Bar sole and dogger heel on the HNW last, in Ember Waxed Flesh, a new Nicks exclusive colorway developed with Horween. The new pattern will be available on other Nicks tankers in the future.
Ship John x Wesco Boss Boots in Brown Essex: $698
As far a Wesco releases go, it seems like when it rains, it pours. This week we have a Boss boot with an MP toe courtesy of Ship John, who also happen to be a very respectable purveyor of their own leather goods. The specs are hard to argue with: Horween’s veg-tan Essex for in brown for the uppers, brown V-Bar soles, and brass buckles, clocking in at a 10″ height. There are only 14 pairs on offer, and so far they’re moving fast.
John Lofgren M43 Service Shoe in Dark Brown Waxed Flesh: $980 (Pre-order)
Lofgren’s boondocker in dark brown waxed flesh? Now that’s an intriguing proposition. The tan upper stitching and dusty red-brown laces stand out against the slightly textured surface of the waxed flesh, which is a stone’s throw in appearance from some marine field shoes that got an exra-heavy coat of dubbin. A nitrile-cork V-bar variant and brown 360˚ storm welt round out the tonal look.
John Lofgren Chelsea Boot in Timber Chromexcel: $900
In addition to dropping the preorder above, Brooklyn Clothing also re-upped their supply of Lofgren Chelseas, which feature 430 mini-lug soles and 360˚ storm welts, and which come in a couple different shades of Chromexcel, including Timber…
John Lofgren Chelsea Boot in Dark Olive Chromexcel: $900
…Dark Olive, and Black (which you can check out here).
Engineered Garments x Paraboot Chambord in Noir: $785

Engineered Garment’s new take on Paraboot’s apron-toe derby, the Chambord, adds a strap that you can cinch down to doubly secure your laces. Throw in a chunky lug sole and Paraboot’s signature Norwegian welt, and you end up with, well, the description above. They’re available in Noir…

…and Marron.

Moulded Shoe is currently running a derby makeup in Black shell cordovan, with a perforated cap toe, 270˚ flat welt, and single leather soles.
Trickers Stow Country Boot in Gaucho Kudu: $800
Trickers just released their AW24 collection, and Stitchdown Standouts™ are a series of four country boot and shoe models in Gaucho Kudu. This high contrast colorway brings out the texture while also fitting squarely into the whole cozy-leaves-falling vibe. All four models use 360˚ split welts and brown Ridgeway outsoles. The Stow is arguably Tricker’s most identifiable model…
Trickers Grassmere Country Boot in Gaucho Kudu: $800
…but the Grassmere is a more “civilized” alternative that has the slightest bit of monkey boot DNA in the facings.
