This one goes out to the Bonnie and Clyde of boot burglary. If you’re looking for boots (disclaimer: please do so by regular means), you’ll find two new pastel versions of Red Wing’s classic moc, collab hiking boots from White’s and Bradley Mountain, new Vibergs at Brooklyn Clothing, and more, all in the latest: Shoes ‘n’ Boots of the Week.

Red Wing Classic Moc in Dusty Blue Abilene: $299
The moc-toe defining moc-toe is going… pastel? There will always be people who think Red Wing = Oro Legacy and that’s that, but as far as blue upper leathers go this is a pretty good one, and the three-tone upper stitching is a nice touch. As for specs, we’ve got a traction-tred wedge outsole, a 360˚ flat welt, and seven nickel eyelets—all Red Wing, all the way down.
Red Wing Women’s Short Boot in Dusty Lavender Abilene: $309
The Women’s version of the Classic Moc also got a new leather: lavender Abilene. This version is narrower (a standard B width), and outfitted with a lighter poly version of the traction tread outsole.
Bradley Mountain x White’s Hiker in Brown Roughout: $675 (Pre-order)
If you’re familiar with Bradley Mountain, odds are it’s because of one of two things: a waxed canvas bag, or a waxed canvas jacket. This week, the Tennessee-based made-in-USA brand teamed up with White’s to release a new version of the Hiker, clicked from brown roughout with a waxed canvas collar and some extremely nice Bradley Mountain boot bags that might just wax your boots for you. The model uses 360˚ machine stitchdown construction on an aggressive Vibram 132 unit lug sole, all built on the low-arch Northwest last.
White’s Westbale in Red Dog Smooth/Roughout: $600
The Westbale on the other hand is a new western offering , also executed in 270˚ machine sewn stitchdown on the rarely seen 1970 last. The 1970 sits in between the Northwest and Smokejumper lasts in arch height, with a wider ball than any other White’s last and some notable toe spring, basically: a really solid last for a Roper. There are three leather options, our favorite of which is the Red Dog smooth over roughout, and the outsole is a 430 mini-lug made by Vibram.
The Shop x Wesco H.H Service Boots in Black Teacore Horsehide: $742
Two facts about The Shop Vancouver: 1) it is perhaps the world’s most accurately named store, and 2) they just got a new shipment of boots from Wesco. The H.H model is an 8″ lace to toe boot on a Vibram Christy sole. This run features veg-tan horsehide tanned by Horween in black teacore, finished with 10 brass eyelets and attached to the soles with a 360˚ stitchdown construction.
Brooklyn Clothing x Viberg Service Boot 2030 in Chocolate Chamois Roughout: $1,056
The second entry in this week’s Canadian division is a double-header from Viberg and Brooklyn Clothing. First up, a brogued-cap-toe 2030 service boot in roughout chamois on a Ridgeway outsole and stitchdown construction. As interested as we are in Viberg’s ongoing evolution, it’s a fairly safe bet that a lot of people have been waiting for something like this.
Brooklyn Clothing x Viberg Scout Boot in Janus Calf Suede: $1,040
Next is a Scout boot, sporting the characteristic wedge sole and inset quarters. The CF Stead smog Janus calf suede is combined with a darkly finished 360˚ scalloped welt and makes for a sharp contrast against the white sole.
Bordon Tukano V2 in Dark Temptation Suede: $409 (Made to Order)
Bordon’s Tukano is arguably the brand’s most versatile boot—a service boot pattern with a cap toe available on anything from a leather sole to a Vibram wedge. The hardware, toe, and lining are also customizable. All that’s set in stone is the double row stitchdown construction and the leather a dark purple-black that adds a ton of depth to the black suede. Probably the best-looking boot we’ve seen from Bordon.
Cheaney Brixton M in Coffee Brown Grain Nubuck: $590
The Cheaney Brixton epitomizes a lot of modern British (welted) footwear. Its last, the 125, has a traditional almond toe and dressy, angular silhouette, but it’s souped up with a Vibram Mierto lug sole. Similarly, the uppers combine a grain leather an apron stitch with details suggesting weather hiking-boot style speed hooks and a 360˚ split welt that hint at weather resistance.
Cheaney Brushfield RW Derby in Dark Brown Hatched Grain: $570
As lasts go, the 12508 is excellent, despite Cheaney’s naming conventions. It has a round, slightly spring toe with a wide but shallow vamp, and that translates to a derby that’s comfortable and imposing in all the right ways without being inelegant. Horween “hatched-grain” uppers in dark brown…
Cheaney Brushfield RW Derby in Cognac Hatched Grain: $570
…and cognac, with Ridgeway soles and 360˚ split welts round out two really solid Brushfield makeups, and the detailing in the upper pattern is no disappointment either.
Enzo Bonafè 3993 in Black Lama: $640 (Pre-Order)
Mehra (who stock a number of different high-finish European makers) just opened a preorder on 15 different models from Enzo Bonafè. The range spans everything from wholecut oxfords to Jodhpurs, crossing through five (six?) pairs of boots along the way. The chisel toed 3993 is a side zip boot with a satisfyingly broken curve from the toe to the shaft. Fudged 270˚ flat welts (all hand welted) thin out into a tapered waist, and the soles are leather with rubber topys.
Enzo Bonafè 3722 in Saddle Brown Hatchgrain: $710 (Pre-order)
What Enzo Bonafè is arguably best known for though are their intricately decorative Norwegian welts. If you had to choose a makeup to succinctly communicate what they’re all about, the 3722 would do a pretty good job. A tall chukka with the (blind) eyelets set high up on the quarters, this is definitely a maximalist approach to formality, from the texture of the hatch grain uppers to the 360˚ Norwegian welt and thick leather sole (also protected by a topy). Braided cord laces are also a signature. Check out the rest of the models Mehra’s offering here.
Meermin Nova Penny Loafer in Rust Waxy Commander: $210 (Pre-order)
Meermin’s made-to-order runs allow them to offer more leathers and styles that fulfill the promise made by their branding: “Properly Made”: check. “Radically Affordable”: check. This week it’s five penny loafers on the Nova last, most of which (including this one) feature commando soles. Leathers of choice are definitely the Rust Waxy commander, tanned by C.F. Stead…
Meermin Nova Penny Loafer in Rust Inca: $210 (Pre-order)
…or the Rust Inca, tanned by Annonay in France.
FEIT Classic High in White Horsehide: $895
