We’re sitting in the calm before the holiday-season-storm as far as releases go, but we’re still proud to interrupt (the profound calm of) your (totally uneventful) week with this 13-boot roundup. Stay tuned and read on for some Black Klondike Beckmans, a new embroidered boot from Arno, and Parkhurst’s last release of the year, all in the latest: Shoes ‘n’ Boots of the Week!

Nicks Palouse Western Work Boot Limited Pre-Order: $668+
Cowboy boots sure don’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon as a larger fashion trend—but Nicks Western Palouse is a WORK boot through and through. They have a limited number of slots available for a customizable limited pre-order, with options including three lasts, four outsoles, 12 leathers, a toe bug, the whole deal.
Mildblend x Red Wing 9060 Beckman Flatbox in Black Klondike: $400
The Red Wing Beckman might be back from the great beyond, but the Flatbox in Black Klondike leather may just be its king. Franklin & Poe, just announced some stock in the elusive teacore leather complete with the requisite Gro Cord half soles and 210 last. Chicago’s Mildblend also has a bunch of sizes through here.
Also check out our visit to Red Wing Japan in our Sole Searching series above—lots of Beckman Flatbox in this one.
Arno Shoes Vishivanka Boot in Bison: $600
The Stefano Bemer-trained duo behind Arno Shoes is back with their second ever ready-to-wear release, a cap-toe boot with clean lines and embroidery inlay on the shaft. That inlay is also key to the model’s name —”Vishivanka”—after of a style of embroidered shirt traditionally worn in Ukraine, where embroidery has been regularly depicted in art for over 2,500 years. Underfoot is a 270˚ flat welt securing a 6mm leather insole to a veg-tan midsole and 430 mini lug. Available in black shrunken bison from Law Tanning…
Arno Shoes Vishivanka Boot in Gaucho Kudu: $600
…as well as kudu gaucho from C.F. Stead and a turmeric kudu version you can check out here.
Brogue x Alden Edmundo Tanker Boot in Brown Chromexcel: $748
Brogue’s new “Edmundo” makeup is a Tanker with a handsewn split toe. Brown Chromexcel on a boot is hardly an innovation, but combines very well with the matching hardware and taupe laces. Built on a 360˚ split welt and commando half soles. The lower profile toe of the Copley last definitely contributes to the magic here.
Brogue x Alden Hoopa Indy Boot in Walnut Vacalou Calf: $692
Also from Brouge: the “Hoopa” Indy makeup is a dressed up Indy that dosen’t lose a bit of flexibility (unless your sidewalks are particularly icy?), all thanks to the Walnut Vocalou Calf and double leather sole, which are secured by a fudged 270˚ flat welt.
Parkhurst Richmond in Husk Waxed Mohawk: $388
Parkhurt’s last big drop of the year just released and it fits neatly into the equilibrium the brand has settled into over the course of the past year or so: C.F. Stead leathers in a few safe browns and healthy dose of wearable but less common colors. Plenty of storm welts as well and all of the makeups use the 602M last. At this price point it’s a pretty compelling combo, and one that they’ve had plenty of time to refine. This Richmond model in Husk is has a dark brown uppers that almost verge on purple, with a 360˚ storm welt and proprietary commando outsoles…
Parkhurst Richmond in Frostbite Rambler: $388
…though we’re also fans of the Frostbite Rambler version which instead has a 270˚ split welt and ridgeway-esqe proprietary sole.
Parkhurst Niagara in Natural Veg Re-tan: $418
The Niagra is Parkhurst’s apron-toe boot, and this one’s a crowd pleaser—a five/eyelet, three speedhook combo in a proprietary brown combination tanned leather with a 260˚ split welt and rubber outsole. Check out the rest of the release here.
Rose Anvil x Jim Green Rugged African Trooper in Huston Black: $290 (Preorder)
At this point it may as well be fundamental axiom of the universe that the price boots of does not go down. Sitting right around the $300 mark, the Rugged ATs represent a move into a new segment of the market for Jim Green, one that has increasingly thinned out over the last few years. Clicked from nubuck and lined with calf, the build is also more substantial than we’ve seen from Jim Green in the past, with a veg-tan midsole and lasting board, a fully gusseted tongue on the 8″ shaft, and a rubber lug sole, all held together by the stitchdown construction. The chunky, wide toe-box last is another feature becoming increasingly hard to find on a quality boot under the $300 line, and though it may take things a little too far in that direction for some people, it’s certainly a welcome addition. You can get them in Black…
Rose Anvil x Jim Green Rugged African Trooper in Fudge: $290 (Preorder)
…a light brown they call “fudge” (shown here), and a darker brown. The links above are for the December delivery production blocks, but you can find other production blocks in all colors here.
Rancourt & Co. Blue Isle Weltline in Espresso Shell Cordovan: $728
For a number of reasons shell is a particularly difficult leather to hand-sew, but Rancourt has been continually refining their shell moccasin offerings and the two full-strap Weltline loafer models released this week look especially clean. They’re equipped with leather outsoles and available in Espresso…
Rancourt & Co. Blue Isle Weltline in Whisky Shell Cordovan: $728
…or Whisky shell, both from Horween. Rancourt is also running a 25% sale on a whole bunch of models that you can check out here.
Truman 56 Last Boot in Charcoal Double Shot: $410
The 56 last is, believe it or not, the sequel to Truman’s (now out of commission) 55 last, and the sleekest last in their lineup with a distinct almond toe. It almost always gets the cap-toe treatment, as is the case here, where it’s been combined with Charcoal Double Shot uppers, the Eugene outsole, and a 270˚ flat welt.
