Here in the Mid-Atlantic the closest thing we’ve got to fall so far is all of the decorations falling off my walls (it can apparently get so humid that blue tack stops working). That said, the boots are, as always, a silver lining.
We’ve got truly packed roundup this time, including shell cordovan MP’s from White’s (thanks Brooklyn Clothing), shell cordovan Chelsea boots from Thursday, a new Division Road x Tricker’s collab, and more, in the latest: Shoes ‘n’ Boots of the Week!
If you want to read out previous roundups (and who wouldn’t) click here.

Division Road x Tricker’s Eaton Boot in Natural Chromexcel: $725
Division Road just released a natural Chromexcel version of one of the all time great country boot patterns. Tricker’s Eaton features a 360˚ storm welt, a Ridgeway sole, and oh so much brogueing. These would definitely be on the Domeworthy boots roundup if they’d been released last week. And guess what, you can still get them in time for the 2024-25 Patina Thunderdome (if the postal gods are kind), because registration runs through through Stitchdown’s Boot Camp, which takes place Oct. 12th-13th in Brooklyn). It was accompanied by two other models…
Divison Road x Tricker’s James Boot in Jambo Waxed Kudu: $725
…a James boot, which keeps the same construction and sole setup, but replaces the brogueing with contrast stitching on uppers clicked from a waxed (nubuck) kudu in deep black…
Division Road x Tricker’s Super Monkey Boot in Espresso & Natural Chromexcel: $685
…and a two-tone version of the Super Monkey, with natural Chromexcel on the tongue and toe, and espresso Chromexcel on the quarters and heel. The Vibram Morflex sole adds just a little extra chonk to a boot that is not lacking in the visual heft department.
Brooklyn Clothing x White’s MP Sherman in Brown Shell Cordovan: $1,325 (Pre-order)
Alright here’s one exceptionally good thirty-fifth birthday present: not one but two MP makeups in Horween shell. Clearly Brooklyn Clothing is not wasting the last three months of their anniversary year. Both versions are made on White’s MP/Barrie last (NOT the same as the Alden last of the same name) with a structured toe, and constructed with White’s traditional hand-sewn stitchdown. The outsole is Dainite, and the Brooklyn Clothing logo is stamped on the tongue. In the White’s-verse, these qualify as a dress boot, but they’re still ridiculously overbuilt. Available in brown…
Brooklyn Clothing x White’s MP Sherman in Black Shell Cordovan: $1,325 (Pre-order)
…and black. Only twelve pairs of each are available, so if you get your hands on one of these, we kindly ask that you beat them up (just think of how the shell will age).
Brooklyn Clothing x White’s Boots Centennial C350-CS in Black Roughout: $825 (Pre-order)
Filling out the rough-and-tumble side of this collab, we’ve got two more models in Seidel black roughout. The Cruiser model also gets some black CXL on the backstay and tongue. The unique construction of the wedge soled 55 last models combines 360˚ machine stitchdown with a double thickness midsole that tapers off under the instep. That extra work makes it possible to cement the Christy wedge soles to what would otherwise be a prohibitively high-arched last.
Brooklyn Clothing x White’s Boots Cykel Engineer Boot in Seidel Black Oil Tan Roughout: $779 (Pre-order)
Rounding out the collab is one of the toughest engineers out there, the White’s Cykel which both predates and cuts back against the current obsession with sleeker, slimmer engineer boots. It’s got a round, imposing bump toe, emphasized by the mini-lug half soles. The shaft is wide and sports to two straps which are reversed to show the grain of the leather. I would not want this pair of boots to be mad at me.
Lost & Found x Viberg 2030CH Side Zip Boot in Nero Washed Kangaroo: $970 (Pre-order)
Lost & Found just opened the a new preorder on one of their hit makeups from last year, and to honor their post-ironic mastermind decision to re-run the same copy—quote: “How have we not done this in the past?”—we will also be rerunning our coverage.
“The recent Viberg Side Zip collaboration is still ultimately a combination of a leather, pattern, and sole combination from Viberg’s standard range of options, but the combination of the heavily textured washed kangaroo, minimalist side zip pattern, and 360˚ flat welt nail the distressed, retro-futurist vibe that’s been a popular subset of streetwear for the past few years.”
Lost & Found x Viberg Wholecut Boot in Nero Washed Kangaroo: $934 (Pre-order)
The side zip is accompanied by a wholecut boot on the 2030 last, and between the blacked out colorway and the textured grain of the kangaroo, these feel almost technical (or even gorpy) despite their thoroughly heritage make. Commando lug soles, black hardware, and a back 360˚ storm welt each do their part to contribute to the general wear-these-in-an-urban-rainstorm vibe going on here.
Thursday Boot Co. Journeyman in Black Shinki Cordovan: $525
Thursday Boot Co.—near ubiquitously known for their accessibly priced, Goodyear welted boots—is stepping up their game with their Black Label Collection, particularly in the leather department. The new Black Label Journeyman has a pretty impressive spec sheet: 270˚ flat welt, leather counters and toe stiffeners, in addition to leather insoles, shanks, and midsoles. You can get it in Shinki shell cordovan at an insane price…
Thursday Boot Co. Journeyman Chelsea in Stone Rambler: $325
…but you’ll also find it in a variety of other leathers for a little over $300, including the C.F. Stead Stone Rambler shown here. Specs aren’t everything, but you’re definitely getting a whole lot of veg-tan for the price, and the squared toe, woodsman heel, and double pull-tabs give the boots some edge that we quite like.
Thursday Boot Co. Challenger in Maryam Toscanello Horsebutt TPR: $369
If loggers are more your speed the Black Label challenger is currently available in Maryam Toscanello Horsebutt. We’re talking Vibram V100 lug soles, a 270˚ double row stitchdown construction, and a serious heel here. The tongues are fully gusseted and they come with three sets of laces, leather, short kevlar, and long kevlar (so you can wrap them around the shaft).
Thursday Boot Co. Challenger in Whiskey Predator: $349
There also available in the even-tougher Horween Whiskey Predator, though of course even a boot as undeniably aggressive as this still retains the signature Thursday almond toe.
Truman Boot Co. Service Boot 79 in Sesame Double Shot: $410
Truman Boot Co. is offering their 79-lasted service boot in 6oz. Sesame Double Shot, a new rich tan color that’s just the slightest bit darker than natural. The makeup has commando lug soles and a 270˚ flat welt.
Blackstock & Weber Mason Horse Bit Loafer in Emerald Croc: $395 (Preorder)
Here’s Blackstock & Weber’s wonderfully chonky bit loafer in green embossed croc, complete with blocky sole stack and fudged 360˚ split welt. Note that is not actual croc, though that dosen’t make them any less cool (maybe more!). Unfortunately, the preorder isn’t expected to ship until February, which if you’re keeping track is after Halloween. Don’t let that stop you.
Oak Street Bootmaker Bit Moc in Black Overdye Horse Rump: $348
A moccasin with a camp sole is hardly the first place you’d expect to see Maryam horse rump, but we actually think this makes a lot sense. The dense leather adds a little extra structure to an unlined loafer, and the subtle sheen makes the Bit Moc feel a little extra fancy…
Oak Street Bootmaker Camp Moc in Black Overdye Horse Rump: $336
…while the fact that this is a teacore leather means that if you’re on of those people who buys a pair of camp mocs every few years to wear as everyday beaters around the house, you’ll break through the brown overdye and reveal the brown leather underneath. Plus all of Oak Street’s mocs have a handsewn, true moccasin construction.
