A Shelby Sharp and a trio of new boots from Briselblack in Bandung? Normally I’d tell you to pinch me/slap me awake, but that’s really what we’ve got this week, as well as some new hatchgrain shell cordovan at Viberg, and more, in the latest: Shoes ‘n’ Boots of the Week.

Division Road x Viberg Shelby Sharp in Maryam Toscanello Horsebutt: $985
After being resurrected last September, the DR-exclusive Shelby Sharp now returns once more, this time with a 2055 rendition. The leather is a veg-tan Toscanello horsebutt from Maryam that’s rolled with lanolin oil to create some of the darkest, richest Toscanello we’ve seen from the Italian tannery, courtesy of Maryam’s Lucida tannage. All the usual Shelby details are present, from pinking everywhere (toe-cap, quarters, counter-cover, backstay) including the 360˚ pinked storm welt, a fabric pull loop, nine smaller eyelets and a backstay that sits over, rather than under, the counter-cover. All of that sits atop a commando sole.
Viberg Service Boot 2040 BCT in Dark Cognac Hatchgrain Shell: $1,760 (Pre-Order)
Viberg’s hatch grain shell cordovan is always an impressive leather. There’s just something about the interaction of boxboarding and shell rolls that’s hard to beat. Case in point: these Dark Cognac Service Boots with a brogued cap toe, double row stitchdown construction, and a Ridgeway sole. You can get the same pattern on the round 2040…

Briselblack Keeper ‘Type 2’ in Roughout Horsebutt: $865
Indonesia’s Briselblack—aka the Artist Formerly Known as Benzein—has a new quintuple of ready-to-wear boots out in roughout horsebutt, with 270˚ flat welts and nitrile cork soles. On these Type 2 Keepers, the vamp appears to have been clicked from the shell, creating a very cool two tone look with lots of patterns and striations. You might get a nice shell-style break/roll on these as well.
Briselblack ‘The Seventh’ in Roughout Horsebutt: $7oo
There’s also a pretty frickin’ unimpeachable Chelsea, long the brand’s signature pattern…
Briselblack ‘The Hawk’ in Roughout Horsebutt: $665
…as well as a more straightforward boondocker style pattern. Sizes are highly limited for all patterns.
Nicks x Parkhurst v3 in Work and Heritage Leathers: $619
By their third rendition, you know what to expect from the Nicks x Parkhurst v3. Three runs in, the concept remains sound: take Parkhurst’s 602 last, with its lower volume and sleeker toe profile, and put it on a pair of Nicks built for the end times. You can choose your leather from the full Nicks range, with a wide range of customization options including top style, pull loop preference, and outsole. Spec them out to your heart’s content.
Franklin and Poe x Wesco Boots Mr. Lou in Horween Black Horsehide: $820
Wesco’s Mister Lou is arguably the most classic American engineer boot. Horsehide Chromexcel, 10″ shaft, Horween horsehide in all black, with Vibram half soles and double row stitchdown construction. We’ll keep saying it but it’s not terribly easy to get a pair of Wescos quickly these days! Especially the Lous. So here’s a shot.
Oak Street Lug Penny Moc in Black Scotch Grain Chromexcel: $368
Finally, some chunky penny loafers in the image of OSB’s bit loafers from a few weeks back, the Lug Penny Moc is clicked from Scotch Grain Chromexcel on the the 1757 Middlebury sole with a 360˚ flat welt, available in black…
