Just when you think that every Alden shoe has been done before, Ealdwine comes in and say “nope!” These eye-catching spectators are built on the Hampton last and marry alpine grain leather with tan suede. A happy marriage, I would say.
Alden x Brogue “Sunset” V-Tip Blucher: $685
Another mixed-media masterpiece from Alden this week, these Barrie v-tip bluchers combine alpine grain leather with Color 8 shell cordovan. They’re also built on “light double” oiled leather soles, meaning they’re somewhere between the typical thickness of single and double soles. Nifty.
Meermin Penny Loafer in Snuff Waxy Kudu: $210
A solid casual loafer, these shoes are built on Meermin’s Rod last with a 360 storm welt and studded rubber soles. Since it’s waxed kudu, you’re sure to see a lot of neat variation with each pair.
